TheoTown is a city building game for Android devices. It was first made for PC, but the project was left unfinished until Lobby took the graphics from that game and put them into a new game for Android several years after the PC game was made. Lobby started the project around March/April of 2015. The game was named after Theo Theoderich who put 'Theo' in the name of all of the projects he started. A few examples are Theo's Space Shooter and Theo's Tank War. When Theo started the original project in 2008 he intended it to be for his son, who was five at the time, but he never finished it. After he had stopped working on it in 2011 Lobby continued to work on it and in 2015 he remade the game for Android and used the graphics from the original project. Theo liked the idea of him and Lobby working on a game together so they continued to work on the game. On October 18, 2016, Theo publicly announced on the TheoTown forums that there would be a premium version of the game being released that spring. The premium game would've included more buildings and disasters, but there would've still be a playable free version of the game. The free version would still play good, but it wouldn't get as many new features. However, a few months before it's release it was cancelled and replaced with a second in-game currency called diamonds, despite the uproar from the fans. The diamonds would be used to buy new content like the Military Pack and the Weather Machine. The game runs on the stapel2D engine.
